Charles and Marie's ministry is a testament to the unfailing faithfulness of the Lord, forged through trials and triumphs that span continents and cultures. Their journey is a tapestry woven with threads of faith, love, and unwavering commitment to their calling.
Their journey began with a leap of faith into full-time missions in 2006, navigating the challenges of ministry in Bali and Hong Kong. Despite facing deportation and uncertainty, they embraced each twist and turn with surrendered hearts, trusting in God's providence.
Their courage led them to Java, where they planted roots in the face of adversity, building bridges of friendship and ministry in a Muslim village. With Jesus as their compass, they ventured into uncharted territory, defying barriers to spread the gospel.
Through divine intervention and the generosity of others, they transformed a humble garage into KOINONIA, a beacon of hope and fellowship in Salatiga. Miracles unfolded as relationships deepened, and their coffee shop became a catalyst for community and ministry.
Yet, amidst their triumphs, they encountered loss and uncertainty. Charles's father's passing and the onset of the pandemic brought new challenges, forcing them to reevaluate their path. With heavy hearts, they made the difficult decision to leave Indonesia, embarking on a new chapter in the United States.
In Knoxville, they have found unexpected blessings and opportunities for service, embracing the unknown with open hearts and steadfast faith. Their journey serves as a reminder that God's plan unfolds in mysterious ways, leading us to unexpected destinations filled with purpose and fulfillment.
As they look ahead to the future, Charles and Marie remain steadfast in their commitment to serving Him, trusting that each step forward is guided by His divine hand. Their story is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and the transformative journey of following God's call.
